The Aquatec ERP-1000 permeate pump is for RO systems ranging from 50-120 GPD. The pump uses no electricity, only hydraulic pressure from RO brine to pump permeate to the storage tank. Installation of a permeate pump will improve membrane performance and reduces brine water to drain by up to 80%. An RO system with a permeate pump requires no automatic shut off valve, which shuts off water flow when system pressure reaches 60-65% of line pressure. A permeate pump will continue to operate until system pressure is equal to line pressure, significantly increasing system pressure and water delivery to the faucet.
